2025 St. Martha’s First Holy Communion Photos
There is A LOT of information, so please read everything thoroughly to make the best choice for your family and to help everything run smoothly!
Hello! My name is Kristen and I am a family photographer based out of Williamston! My husband, daughter and I are parishioners at St. Martha’s and my daughter is a first grader at the school! First Holy Communion is such a special time and I am honored to be a part of your special day and memories!
In an effort to help you have more time, get to your celebration after Mass, I am offering families the opportunity to book a 15 minute time slot on Saturday, May 3rd. There are 46 children receiving their First Holy Communion on Sunday, May 4th.
If you have the flexibility I would highly encourage you to book a time on Saturday.
After Mass & Group Photo
After Mass, with the assistance of Ms. Jackie, all of our First Communicants will get set up for the group photo. Please stay in your seats after Mass so we can gather everyone for the photo quickly. If you are opting out of individual photos, or if you had your individual photos taken on Saturday, you are free to leave after the group photo.
Professional photos will take place at both the altar and to the left of the altar, if you are take any of your own photos, please be sure to stay to the right of the altar.
After the group photo we will move into individual photos. I work with families with young kiddos all the time so with your help, I know that we can make this smooth, fun and efficient!
Parents, I will rely on you to make sure hair and clothing is placed to your preference. Please be prepared to assist your child with this.
For families taking photos on Saturday:
Please book a 15 minute session on the form at the bottom of the page!
The 15 minute session does not cost anything, I am offering it to be as flexible as I can for your family for your special day.
If you have the flexibility, I highly recommend booking a Saturday session. I know this means getting ready twice, but I promise it is worth the convenience! You will have more time for photos and you will also have time for a few family photos if you would like. You will have multiple posing opportunities in front of both the altar and plain wood background.
**Please bring a comb/brush to fix any hair. If you have a Rosary or any special item such as a small bible that you would like your child to have their photo taken with, please bring it.
Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled time!
For families taking photos after Mass:
With the amount of families we have celebrating their First Communion we kindly ask that you be respectful and patient while waiting your turn for portraits. I will try to get through each Communicant within 2-3 minutes. We understand that families have celebrations to attend so please make sure you stay with your family so we can be as efficient as possible. If your child is not around when we call your name, we will move to the next person on the list, you will be up next once your child is ready to go!
Your spot “in line” will be in the order in which your information was received via the form at the bottom of the page. I am unable to take family photos on the day of unless you would like to wait until everyone is through the line. If you are willing to wait, I am happy to take a family photo for you!
Professional photos will take place at both the alter and to the left of the alter, if you are take any of your own photos, please be sure to stay to the right of the alter.

I would recommend packing a bag with a light snack or two and a water bottle for your child. When packing a snack, please be mindful of the color of food. Crackers, cheese sticks, apple slices, etc are all good options. Please avoid anything like popcorn, cheese its, cheese puffs etc. We don’t want anything getting on outfits or stuck in teeth and/or braces!
