I am Kristen! Wife to Ethan and mama to our 7 year old little girl!

Quality time is my love language and I am claiming 2026 as the year I actually get my own family photos taken! As proof by the only updated photos I have are from Christmas where I was living on a prayer that my dad took at least one photo that was in focus!

I was born and raised in Richmond, VA and met my husband, Ethan, in college and we have been together since I was 20 years old. We spent 6 years on the coast of North Carolina pursuing careers and degrees and then moved to Chicago in 2016 to continue our careers. As of August 2019, we officially call Williamston, MI home and we couldn’t be happier!

I love seafood, especially blue crabs, I could eat a good cheese plate and my mom’s Italian cooking for the rest of my life! I say ya’ll all the time without realizing it and it is usually what gives away my southern roots! I love to read on my kindle, so I am always ready for a good book rec! I run on Diet Coke, not coffee, and I love to cook and make bread and cinnamon rolls! My heart belongs to all people longing to hold a baby in their arms and my happy place is spending time on the Chesapeake Bay in Reedville, VA at our family cottage.

As a family, you will most likely find us camping around Michigan from spring through fall, at a fun park, at a pool in the summer, trying out a new ice cream spot, volunteering at church, or at a local farm picking whatever is in season! We embrace the cold weather and love to be outside in the snow. In our downtime, we love to be cozy, cook together, play games, read books as a family, have a family movie night or spend time with our friends.

When I am not with my family, I am running Kristen Gibson Photography full time. I am patient and empathetic and have a huge heart for all families. I see beauty in some of the moments that you may feel are chaotic and I see the love of a parent as they are simply trying to get their two-year old to look at them. I strive to capture the prompted posed moments and all moments in between. As a mom, my favorite photos are the silly faces, the slobbery kisses, and the beauty of the imperfectness. And based on clients favorites, I’d say they feel the same way! I am so excited to get to know you and your family and work together to create a gallery that shows just how perfect ya’ll are!
