Lamb Mini Sessions

There's something magical about springtime on the farm—flowers begin to bloom, the sun peeks out more often, and new life arrives in the form of fluffy, wobbly-legged baby lambs. This year, to celebrate Spring FINALLY arriving in Michigan, for the first time, I offered lamb mini sessions in partnership with Hoof and Clover Farm in Williamston, MI.
These sessions were perfect for families, young children, and anyone looking to capture milestone moments in a charming, natural setting.
The baby lambs were friendly, gentle, and full of curiosity—making them wonderful companions for photos!
I will be offering Baby lamb mini sessions again in 2026 as mini sessions as well as:
Milestone sessions
Spring family minis
Mommy-and-me photos
Pregnancy announcements
Sibling photos
Due to the weight and nature of being with live animals, if your child is under the age of 4, you must accompany them in the photo. If your child is over the age of four, in most cases, they will be able to handle the animal independently.
Both a stool and a blanket will be provided at the session!
A little nervous to be around live animals? Here are a few tips to help your session go smoothly!
Dress in Soft, Neutral Tones
Earthy tones, pastels, and soft fabrics photograph beautifully with lambs and our natural farm setting. Avoid busy patterns that may distract from the sweetness of the scene.Let the Kids Interact Naturally
Don’t stress if your child isn’t posing “just right.” Some of the best moments come from natural curiosity—when little ones reach out to touch a lamb or giggle as it nuzzles close.Bring Wipes and a Change of Clothes (Just in Case!)
Farm life is fun, but it can be a bit messy. We recommend bringing a few extra essentials—especially for toddlers.Talk About the Animals Ahead of Time
Let your child know what to expect so they’re excited instead of nervous. You can even show them photos of lambs before the session! Make sure you talk to them about giving gentle pets and hugs.
